History
Jinsyue Elementary School was founded on April 8, 1919 as Tainan City No. 3 Public School.
In 1928, the name of the school was changed to Tainan City Miaoguang Public School.
In 1941, the school name was changed to Tainan City Miaoguang National School.
In 1945, the school name was changed to Jinsyue National School.
In 1964, the school was honored to receive the Outstanding Achievement in the National School Team of the Provincial Folk Dance Competition.
In 1968, the school name was changed to Tainan City Southern District Jinsyue Elementary School.
In 1968, a swimming pool was built.
In 1974, a new kitchen was built.
In 1977, the school built a new playground and play equipment.
In 1978, a kindergarten was attached to the school.
In 1982, the name of the school was changed to Tainan City Central District Jinsyue Elementary School.
In 1987, a new library was built.
In 2003, Jinsyue Elementary School was selected by the Ministry of Education as a Center for Sustainable Environment Education.
In 2004, the school name was changed to Tainan City Central and Western District Jinsyue Elementary School.
In 2010, Jinsyue Elementary School was honored by the Ministry of Education as the National Innovation and Exemplary Team of Information Technology Integration Teaching.
In 2011, Jinsyue Elementary School won the National Dance Competition with honors in Folk Dance and Modern Dance.
In 2013, Jinsyue Elementary School was honored to receive the Distinguished Award in the School Affairs Evaluation of the Education Bureau.
In 2017, Jinsyue Elementary School won the First Prize in Modern Dance in the National Student Dance Competition.
In 2018, Jinsyue Elementary School won the First Prize in Modern Dance in the National Student Dance Competition.
In 2019, Jinsyue Elementary School celebrated its 100th Anniversary.
